LANCE ALLRED
KEYNOTE MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKER - BEST SELLING AUTHOR - FIRST DEAF PLAYER IN NBA HISTORY
TEAM. LEADERSHIP. GOAL SETTING. PERSEVERANCE.
Lance Allred is more than an athlete, a best selling author, a speaker: He is a Thought Leader who compels those around him to examine their thought processes and to seek ways to overcome setbacks and pursue their dreams. When you meet Lance, not only will you receive a great storyteller, with amazing life experiences to share, you will also gain honest and applicable skills in his four areas of expertise: Team, Leadership, Goal Setting and Perseverance.
Standing at 611, all of his life Lance Allred has had people telling him what he can and cannot do. Born with 80% hearing loss, within a polygamist commune in rural Montana, Lance grew up weaving through oppressive and abusive religious confines that saw him develop Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder in his formative years, which he kept hidden through the game of basketball when his family broke away from the religious sect at the age of 14.
Even then, the limitations continued to pile on with people saying his hearing-impairment would prevent him from playing collegiately, let alone professionally. Lance never listened- he couldn’t hear them anyway on his way to becoming the first deaf player in NBA history. With a remarkable world of experience from his 10 years of professional basketball across the globe, spanning the continents, Lance has learned first hand the pitfalls of teams and leadership, which are pervasive through all cultures, allowing him to bring a fresh lens to old discussions about success and teamwork.

While is he easily able to share his experiences of team and leadership in an applicable way for any corporate setting, Lance is also a personable, honest and spiritual giant, who has helped hundreds of teens within his home state of Utah. Not only does he speak to high school and collegiate athletes, he works with teens across the board in helping them
